Newcomers to the Lambert collection: wallpaper-like, unique wall textiles and paint

In cooperation with the wallpaper producer, Mr. Ulrich Welter, and the designer, and author, Mr. Axel Venn, specialist when it comes to questions of perception, Lambert has conceived a collection of wallpaper-like, unique wall textiles that form a perfect complement to the lifestyle philosophy of the brand. All unique wall textiles are produced individually by hand by the Welter manufactory based in Berlin. By means of classical methods of gold-plating, the single strips are adorned with leaf metal and printed or painted by hand silk screen printing. Apart from wall textiles, Lambert also offers wall paint and silky gloss paint that have been developed to match the contemporary furniture and accessories of the Mönchengladbach-based specialists in the field of home décor.

Walls are a captivating subject. They constitute ideal surfaces to reproduce visual impressions. The material, the design, the structure, the pattern as well as the colours of walls give them the power to tell us stories and to evoke sensual attraction. People are less and less prepared to be surrounded by walls that do not convey any message. The days of the "woodchip wallpaper era" are counted.

In architecture, the wall has always been a mirror reflecting the currently prevailing style of living. A certain recollection and a new desire for wallpaper is undeniable. The Lambert book of paints and wall textiles contains 78 pages showing our range of wall textiles as well as our range of basic colours consisting of 18 tones. The Lambert paint is available as richly pigmented wall paint or as egg-shell finished gloss paint. All paints and wall textiles have been developed with a common design strategy in mind: The entire collection refers to the colour repertoire of the wall and gloss tones.

The strategic approach is based upon the principle of combining picture-like wallpaper with plain-coloured surfaces - this is what the concept aims at: the creation of symbiotic links between pattern and structure and plain-coloured surfaces. The outcome is wall design reflecting harmonious attraction or deliberate distinction. Now the wallpaper and the paint are a manifestation of a good balance, now they testify to discrepancies full of contrasts.

In fact, all 18 colour tones can be combined with each other as well as with the unique wall textiles consisting of 78 patterns. The aim is not to furnish the entire room with wallpaper, but wallpaper-like, unique wall textiles and painted surfaces are to come in turns. Please note: None of the pigmented colour tones developed for the unique wall textiles and paints features in any of the conventional paint systems - they are one of a kind!

Each wallpaper is one of a kind. It is not available in rolls. It is manufactured on the basis of handicraft methods - exactly according to the customer's wishes. The strips come in a width of 100 cm and the basic material consists of a fleece. Customized production exclusively.
