In
this new edition of Heimtextil Fair, we have seen several novelties
within the trends, but more and more it takes more importance
to look for global collections with own styles. One of the trends
that occupies a preferred place and that constantly is modernized
is the classic style by using velvet weaves, both jacquard with
shining motifs, or by printing, but always without losing its
elegance as line.
Taking
about fabrics, flannel returns to be a referent, to become rough
textures that contrast with the refinement of the silk or taffeta,
and giving an appearance of comfort and quality. Fabrics with
many reliefs have been also seen, as could be flock prints,
chenille or rustic fabrics.
In
general, motifs are inspired by the masculine fashion, such
as hounds tooth check, ear, tweed or geometric motifs from the
seventies, remembering paper wall of that decade … it
can be considered part of the trends of this year.
Prints
from ethnic inspiration, with botanical or floral motifs, keep
being on fashion, but with new colour combinations.
With
reference to the colours for this season, dark shades predominate,
like black, grey, green moss, blue sea and plum colours. To
these colours are added details of brightness and metallic effects,
like gold, old silver or copper, in order to increase the contrast,
luminosity and vividness of the fabric.
Also,
wine colour is a reference this season as well as green, colour
that has remained in the shade the last years and that now reappears
in a wide range.
Chocolate
& turquoise colour combination continues being as a fashionable
one, as well as beige & chocolate, which is becoming a classic
combination year after year…
Finally,
talking about the fresh colours, such as lime, fuchsia and turquoise,
they have been combined between them in order to give a fresh
and youthful air to this season. These colours are well combined
either between them or with black background, giving rise to
fabrics with lot of strength.
