The
fair Maison & Objet, in Paris, continues being one of the
few fairs of reference within the furniture and decoration sector.
One
more time we enjoyed taking a walk by the corridors (and following
the line red) where we could see several tendencies and fashions,
but we will try to focus on which we think that by colours and
textures are the pluses outposts.
Concerning decoration, the exhibiting companies are all publishers
and we found significant companies as: Rubelli, Jab, Designers
Guild and many other.
The
colours that reign for the collection of winter 2006, are purples
with some touch of turquoise or even pinks or even better fucsias.
The textures are skin type or fabrics in jacquards with drawings
of velvet both in small or floral stripes and always coordinating
several colors in a same design. Another texture are the smooth
and embroidered wild silks. The colours for the collection of
summer are the turquoise blues and intense greens but with clear
shades.
Within
the frame of the furniture and complements, we found companies
like Lambert, Becara, Romo, etc., in order to mention some of
reference.
In
general we saw several lines but the tendencies were the natural
colours as pistachio, of very low intensity, for the walls that
allow to put all type of furniture for decorating. The bamboo
is a material very used for tables, chairs, mirrors. Sofas with
dark fabrics or of skin and following the tendency of the fabrics
previously mentioned.
For
the garden the use of synthetic materials for the furniture
manufacture is being demanded more every time, offering a great
resistance to the meteorological harshness playing with matt
black colours, approaching more to the greys. Subjects as lamps,
crystal and others is not my speciality so I can not give you
information or my opinion.
Is a brief introduction about the Maison & Objet fair. In
order to better understand the tendency, we have included photos
of exhibiting companies that have shown tendency in this last
edition of 2006. See link to the web.
We
hope you enjoy them.
