Indigo, the textile design and creation exhibition is organised
by PVE S.A., the company that manages Première Vision
– the world's premiere fabric show – and Expofil
– the international textile yarns and fibres exhibition.
The Home edition, held annually in Brussels alongside Decosit,
is devoted to textiles intended for home furnishing and decoration.
Major
international studios, new talents, artists and design schools
will exhibit ranges tailored to the wide diversity of markets
in this sector, offering a wealth of ideas for professionals
putting together their collections of printed fabrics, jacquards,
bed linen, table linen, floor and wall coverings, gift wrap
and greeting cards.
Where
exhibitors are concerned, all the major studios have confirmed
that they will be attending, and registrations for the next
exhibition, to be held from 9 to 12 September, are on the same
level as in 2005, at around 100 exhibitors. France still takes
first place in the exhibitor rankings (31%), followed by Great
Britain (18%) and Italy (12%). 18 new exhibitors have registered,
from 8 different countries, including a Hungarian company for
the first time. They are all offering targeted design collections
for use in areas as wide-ranging as table linen, tiling, curtains
or wallpaper. This significant number of new exhibitors underlines
the exhibition's dynamism and the trade’s constant vigour.
Their arrival extends and enriches the choice for visitors,
who no longer merely look for the basics, but for complex and
creative designs which will give their collections added value.
Indigo
Home will be in its usual place, Hall 12 at Brussels Expo, but
for the first time it will be sharing the area with the Decosit
trends and services. This new setting will create a coherent
and very lively space, focussing on creativity and services.
The general location, which benefits from wider access between
the two exhibitions, is likely to make it easier for visitors
to discover new ideas, concepts, and fashions.
At
the forthcoming exhibition Indigo will reveal its new visual,
to be used in various communications and marketing tools. With
a nod towards the books of our childhood, this image emphasises
the importance of design and colour. The promotional campaign
has been extended to embrace new, specialised medias, enabling
us to reach a wider audience in a greater number of countries,
yet with a more targeted message. At the exhibition the new-look
stand's simple and practical styling will create an ambience
more in tune with the Brussels exhibition as a whole and with
the various presentation methods used by exhibitors for their
collections.
This
exhibition will be the second under the aegis of PVE.S.A., the
first attracting 3,021 international visitors. With its Home
edition in Brussels and two fashion exhibitions in Paris, Indigo
is asserting itself as the leading exhibition organiser in the
field of textile design and creation.
