New
talents and new creations in Brussels
Major
event of textile design and creation, Indigo is organized by
PVE S.A., the company which manages Première Vision –
the world’s premier fabric show – and Expofil –
the international fair for textile yarns and fibres. Its Home
edition, held once a year in September in Brussels next to Decosit,
is specifically devoted to textile creations for furnishings
and interior decoration.
Top international
studios, new talents, artists and design schools present an
offer geared to all markets and sectors. It aims at helping
operators to prepare and re-invent their collections for prints,
jacquards, bed linen, table linen, wall and floor covering,
gift wrap, cards.
Regarding
exhibitors, the forthcoming edition (9 to 12 September) should
be quite satisfactory as the level of registration as at 8th
May is rather high compared to September 2005, with all the
leading design studios present. 9 new exhibitors from 5 countries
have already registered, among them for the first time a Hungarian
company. All of them will show targeted collections with designs
to be used in areas as varied as table linen, tiled floor, curtain
fabrics or wall paper. This high level of newcomers confirms
the dynamism of the show. Their arrival broaden and enrich the
spectrum of the offer for visitors who are looking not for basics
but for more complex, creative designs that call for a highly
technical approach.
Indigo will
remain in its usual location in Hall 12 of Brussels Expo but
will share it for the first time with all Decosit trend areas
and services. This new environment should bring about a trendy
space dedicated to creation and services. This general lay-out
should make easier the visitors’ research for new ideas,
concepts and trends.
For this
forthcoming edition, Indigo unveils a new visual, used in its
various communication and marketing tools emphasizing the importance
of design and colourings. The advertising campaign has been
extended to new specialized media, thus covering a larger yet
more targeted audience in a greater number of countries. At
the exhibition: with a new sober-look, practical stand, the
Brussels edition will offer a new ambience more appropriate
to the diversity of presentation methods used by exhibitors
for their collections.
This is
the second Home edition under the aegis of PVE S.A., last session
attracted 3,021 international visitors which was remarkably
steady compared with a quite difficult economic situation in
the furnishing sector. With its Home edition in Brussels and
its two Fashion editions in Paris, Indigo is the leading event
in the field of creative textile design.
