Starting
2006, dramatic changes are on the way for IFFT
International
Furniture Fair Tokyo (IFFT) will base its activities on the
following three concepts:
- Rediscovering
the Japanese residential culture
- Promoting
the Japanese lifestyle to the world
-
Upgrading residential cultures & contributing to society
In
order to actively promote the newly enhanced IFFT, the organization
has invited Mr. Kohei Takada as producer of the show. Mr. Takada
will be supported by a committee whose members include product
& interior designer Mr. Eiri Iwakura, and design consultant
Ms. Coco Funabashi, President and CEO of the Tokyo Design Center.
IFFT
will also strengthen its core value of being “a trade
show that achieves business results” by renewing efforts
in soliciting participation by companies providing high quality
goods and services, to be exhibited in an area encompassing
3 halls at the Tokyo Big Sight. By bringing the most exciting
and attractive exhibitors together in one concentrated area,
IFFT seeks to increase attendance by high-potential buyers.
Furthermore, IFFT will increase its show quality by implementing
an exhibit standard for all exhibitors.
The
exhibit standard will also be applied to participating overseas
companies to enhance the total quality of the show. It will
also create an attractive exhibiting environment through effective
zoning and site decoration, and will upgrade its efforts in
providing the latest interior-related information to its end-users.
IFFT
will actively strive to improve the show from all quarters,
including design, products, industry information, and new ideas.
These efforts will establish Tokyo, where IFFT is held, as the
center of the world in the interior business.
