Europa Design and Moda Tendencias: Two Brand New Spaces for
ExpoHogar Autumn
ExpoHogar Autumn, the International Gift, Interior Decorating
and Houseware Show organised by Fira de Barcelona, will be holding
its 25th edition at the Gran Vía M2 (L’H) Site
between 8 and 12 September 2005.
To mark this important anniversary, the organisers have come
up with a range of innovative and exciting ideas, including
a space known as “Europa Design” which will offer
a range of design proposals from various countries. On this
occasion, the focus will be on Portugal, with its “Portugal
Des+gn Mais” exhibition, organised in collaboration with
the Portuguese Design Centre, “Cenditec”, the Centre
for Technological Development and Innovation and Portugal’s
Foreign Trade Institute, the ICEP.
ExpoHogar’s Design Competition, which this year will be
organised in collaboration with FAD, an organisation for the
promotion of decorative arts, will also be celebrating its 25th
anniversary and once again awarding prizes to the works of top
designers, professionals, companies or students and design schools
from various countries. The competition aims to acknowledge
and draw attention to the major role played by innovations in
design in the gift, decorative and homeware sectors.
The Interior Design Exhibition, co-ordinated by Rosa Regàs
and Maite Iglesias, will be held in the hall of palace 1 and
will feature furniture, textiles and a range of items, most
of which will be provided by event exhibitors.
Houses of the World is a photographic exhibition revealing the
interiors of homes from around the world such as Mongolia, Tibet,
Yemen, Oman, Iran, Syria, Kenya, Capadocia, Tunisia y Bhutan.
The Gift Packaging Exhibition will be on display in two glass
cabinets located in pavilion 2.
The Autumn 2005 edition of ExpoHogar will feature the full range
of market proposals, presented by the almost 500 exhibitors
who are set to take part in the event, covering a net surface
area of some 23,500 sqm. The following sectors will be included:
interior decorating, tableware, flower arrangements, gifts,
crafts, stationery, Punt 6 – Design Barcelona, fashion
jewellery and accessories, candles and fragrances and home textiles.
ExpoHogar expects to welcome more than 33,000 visitors to the
forthcoming edition.
