Countdown for Decosit Brussels has begun
Even though we’re still months away from Decosit in Brussels (9-12 September), it’s time to bring you the first news about the 2006 edition.

Actually, Decosit Brussels was for the first time officially announced during the first edition of Decosit Hong Kong (21-23 March), where a huge sign at the entrance invited visitors to come to Brussels. “Visit Decosit Brussels, worldwide the most important upholstery event”, it read. And below that the six main assets of Decosit Brussels: the most extensive range of fabrics, both for residential and contract market, more than 300 exhibitors and 4,000 visiting companies, focusing on quality and professionalism, inspiring trend forum and Decotec, innovation platform.

+ 90 % reconfirmed

Starting the planning of Decosit 2006, the good news is that more than 90 % of those that were present last year confirmed their 2006 participation. We are quite happy about this, knowing the European upholstery niche industry is ascertaining a solid position in a fast changing world economy.

Knowing this, the fact that so many companies are loyal to Brussels is a sign Decosit remains a very strong brand, where the quality of what is on display and contacts with customers are a top priority.

More selective

What more to tell about Decosit 2006? Thé central message is that Decosit 2006 will be all about selectivity. During the fair, the quest for quality will get absolute priority to every norm of quantity. This is a strategy the organisation takes, following talks with a lot of exhibitors and supported by the Decosit committee. In short, the size of the fair and the number of exhibitors is subordinate to what’s on display. The selection criteria for DecoContract exhibitors were revised and refined.

Decosit and DecoContract together in hall 9

After giving it a lot of thought and consultation, it was decided to move DecoContract to hall 9. This means hall 9 will become a fully fledged, commercial hall, with nothing but Decosit and DecoContract exhibitors.

The Trend presentation, press and the other Decosit/DecoContract related projects will be grouped in hall 12, together with Indigo. More than ever, hall 12 will serve as a source of inspiration.
