High-Quality Down

High-quality down is one of the specialities of Softcottó, S.L., a company recently founded in Vic (Barcelona, Spain) by Joaquim Taboada and Àngels Bigas. The title of this news item makes reference to the fact that they will be distributing the products of Daunen Step, an Italian company that has been in business for over a hundred years and specialises in down products (duvets, eiderdowns, etc.).

Softcottó also distributes (without ruling out other projects in the future) NK Home products of the NK Group, with the Peninsula and Fiorucci collections among them. NK is a major player that has control over all phases of the process, from spinning to manufacturing, with five factories in various countries. The emphasis of its home textile range is on bed linens, such as cotton and satin sheets.

At present, Bigas and Taboada work with five sales representatives to market Softcottó's range, which for the time being is rounded out by Govina Eurotex, another Italian company that, although smaller than the previous ones, features a collection of bed linens that stand out for their design.
