Icelands Renews its Brand Image
Icelands
has a new look. In this connection, it has updated its logotype
and expanded its product lines. Added to the traditional collection
of duvets are such other items as blankets and a wide variety
of complements including bamboo and sisal rugs, textile rugs,
baskets and boxes made of natural fibres, centrepieces and aluminium
vases, duvet covers and new plaids, candles, upmarket French
quilting, etc.
Icelands chose Casa Pasarela in Madrid as the venue to unveil
its new logo; taking part in the event was Anne Igartiburu,
the celebrity who has been chosen to represent the brand for
another year.
Icelands manufactures and sells over 500,000 duvets per year.
Its products are present throughout Spain and are exported to
such countries as France, Italy and Germany. In addition, Icelands
sponsors the ‘Corazón de otoño’ TV
show on TVE-1.
The Smart Market group continues to grow and build on its reputation
as leading Spanish supplier in the home goods market. A glance
at the company’s 2004 balance sheet reveals a 16% increase
in revenues in relation to the previous year.
The group’s sales figures have increased since it started
up operations an average of 57% per year. “This has been
made possible by the policy of reinvesting profits as well as
our in-house organisation”, points out Andrés Manzano-Dólera,
CEO of the Group. In 1995, the company registered sales amounting
to 459,000 euros, and last year its sales topped 23.8 million
euros.
The SM group has launched four new brands of home goods on the
market this year (Mcgiver, Very Lady, Moskovitta and Butaka),
offering further proof of its bid to occupy a place at the forefront
of the home goods sector.
